English courses for adults
One-to-one lessons tailored to your goals. Whether you need everyday conversation practice, exam preparation or help with a university interview — I’ll build a course around you.
Choose your course
Most lessons are 40 minutes, one-to-one, with written notes provided after every session. Conversation practice sessions are also available as a shorter 20-minute option.
Everyday English Conversation
This structured course follows a workbook and curriculum I’ve designed to guide you through a wide range of topics. Each lesson includes in-depth discussion, detailed feedback on your use of vocabulary and grammar, and recommendations for improvement. Written notes are provided after every session so you can review what we covered and continue practising between lessons.
- Structured workbook and curriculum designed by me
- Build vocabulary and fluency through guided topics
- In-depth feedback on grammar and expression
- Written notes after every lesson

Conversation Practice Only
Pure speaking practice — no workbook, no written notes. You choose a topic or I’ll suggest one, and we simply talk. I’ll give you verbal feedback on any significant mistakes during the conversation, but this isn’t a structured course — it’s designed for students who want regular practice to maintain and sharpen their spoken English.
- Topic-led conversation practice
- Verbal feedback on key mistakes
- 20-minute sessions — short, focused and effective
- Ideal for maintaining fluency between courses
20-minute sessions · No written notes · Verbal feedback only
Spoken IELTS Exam Preparation
I specialise in preparing students for the speaking component of the IELTS exam — parts 1, 2 and 3. I offer both long-term preparation and intensive courses for students with an exam date approaching. Mock exams with full feedback and evaluation are also available (90 minutes, charged as two lessons). Please note that I do not currently offer preparation for the reading or writing sections of the IELTS exam.

- Mock speaking exams with full feedback
- Long-term or intensive options available
- Exam technique and confidence building
Mock exams require a 90-minute session (2 lessons)
University Interview Preparation
I offer classes to prepare you for a spoken English interview as part of your application for further education. This may be for entrance to a private school or university. We’ll work on your confidence, fluency and the ability to articulate your ideas clearly under pressure.
- University and school admissions practice
- Confidence building under interview conditions
- Articulate your ideas clearly
- Suitable for adults and older children
